Tokyo Tower
This 333-meter tower is the tallest structure in Japan and the symbol of Tokyo. The tower has two observation platforms: the main platform at 150 meters and the special observation platform at 250 meters. Part of the floor of the main observation platform, called the “Look-down window,” is made of glass, so you can look straight down giving you the scary feeling that you are walking in the air. At night, blue, red and green LEDs (light-emitting diodes) embedded below the windows of the special observation platform sparkle dreamily and, combined with sound effects, create a dramatic mood enhancing the beautiful nighttime scenery.
The base of the Tower houses the Tokyo Tower Aquarium; the three-dimensional trick art museum, Tokyo Tower Trick Art Gallery; and the Wax Museum with its realistic wax mannequins.
